Plain-English rules for cancelling a booking made through XTC Fly Service, and how refunds are processed.
Last updated: July 06, 2026
For tickets on flights to, from, or within the United States booked at least 7 days before departure, you may cancel within 24 hours of booking for a full refund of the fare, consistent with US Department of Transportation rules. Our own service fee for the original booking may still apply where permitted; any such fee is disclosed before you pay.
Many fares allow date or routing changes for an airline change fee plus any fare difference. If a change is cheaper than cancelling, our agents will tell you. Agency service fees for processing changes are disclosed before the change is made.
If the airline cancels your flight, or makes a significant schedule change and you decline the alternative offered, you are entitled to a refund of the unused ticket value under the airline's policy and applicable regulations. We do not charge our own fee for processing refunds caused by airline cancellations. See our Flight Schedule Change page for how we handle these situations.
Once the airline approves a refund, we submit it promptly. Refunds to credit or debit cards are typically returned to the original payment method within 7–14 business days of airline approval, though airline processing can take up to one or two billing cycles in some cases. Travel credits are issued per the airline's timeline.
Agency service fees compensate work already performed and are non-refundable once the service is completed, except: (a) where we made an error, (b) where the refund results from an airline-initiated cancellation, or (c) where applicable law requires otherwise.
